Location: Villa Orkide is located in the beautiful village of Dalyan in the conservation area of the Turquoise Coast of Turkey, nestled between Koycegiz Lake and Dalyan beach ‘Iztuzu’ voted one of the worlds top ten ‘must visit’ beaches and is the nesting place of ‘caretta caretta’ the endangered loggerhead turtles. Dalyan retains much of its original charm and has a village community feel, recently designated a special tourism area with no high rise hotels. Villa Orkide is in a select semi rural position to the south of the town centre and is within a 400 metres of the main street. The neighbouring Turkish houses, cotton fields, stunning view of mountains and ancient rock tombs of the historic ruined city of Caunos,  offer visitors to this villa a holiday of visual enchantment. Only 25 minutes  from Dalaman airport, from which we can arrange return transfers.

The accommodation comprises of 2 double bedrooms, with a luxury modern house bathroom, with shower, and ground floor shower room, a double sofa bed in the main reception room or single folding bed and infant cot if required to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The villa is air conditioned and central heated throughout and all windows are double glazed with mosquito blinds. Although a car is not necessary there is a parking to the front of the property for 2 cars. The garden is fully maintained, lawned with flowering shrubs and trees. 

Outside: The large private pool and Jacuzzi/ paddling pool has extensive paved surround in cool classic marble, which together with gardens and house balconies, offer varied sunbathing areas. Furnished with padded sun loungers the large veranda with sun blinds is complete with tables and chairs which are perfect for dining alfresco and incorporates an attractive covered Turkish traditional seating area  which provides perfect shaded seating for outdoor barbeques etc.

This is to be our home from home in retirement so all those extras comforts we may want, have been thought of in the design, quality and style of the fixtures and furnishings to make this a very special villa. Each year we add small improvements to keep the villa in tip top order. We hope our returners will approve of those made for 2012 both inside and out

Layout: The generously proportioned ground floor accommodation has double door opening from the pool into a large open plan lounge, with feature stone open fire and traditional cushioned seating area in addition to the stylish 3 piece suite. The dinning kitchen is fully furnished with table and seating in the lounge and dining areas for a maximum of 6 people. There is double sofa bed in the lounge with extra clothes storage on the landing. A fully tiled shower room and WC are located off the hallway. The kitchen has extensive high quality units with granite surfaces. Windows are south and west facing which are not overlooked but give fabulous views of the mountains and rock tombs.

The floors to all reception and bedrooms are laid with cool classic pink marble tiles. On the first floor the master bedroom has a king size four poster bed with drapes and mosquito net and double doors leading onto the large balcony, which is ideal for sun bathing, evening drinks or simply to gaze at the flood lit tombs. The house bathroom is fully tiled with extractor fan and fitted with luxury standard fittings. The second bedroom is large and has a double bed. Both bedrooms have extensive shaker style wardrobes and furniture with both air conditioning and central heating. A cot is also available.

Equipment & appliances.  Air conditioning and central heating throughout,  constant hot water from eco pressure solar panels.

The kitchen dining room is fully fitted with large fridge freezer, double oven & hob, dishwasher.  There are microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, food processor etc and ample  crockery and utensils for up to 6 adults.

Washing machine, iron ironing board and airer are available for your use in the separate utility/depot. Hair dryers and bath robes are also provided. Fresh linen and a full villa clean is provided every seven days, more frequently or daily maid service can be provided on request.

New for 2012 for your entertainment the villa is equipped with a satellite TV with Digiturk allowing you access to 'BBC entertainment' and movie channels & DVD, there is also music system with USB port and a comprehensive collection of DVDs, CDs, books and board games.

A Welcome Pack is provided to our guests. Or a food shop of your choice can be arranged for you for your arrival.

Outdoors, patio furniture comprising of various table and chairs, poolside loungers with padded cushions and parasols. Traditional shaded Turkish kosk seating area with large floor cushions. The Jacuzzi Whirlpool can be switched on and off when as required. There is an attractive stone built barbeque with adjacent outside shower for pre pool use. The private garden is walled with pretty flowering shrubs, roses and Oleanders hedging offer some privacy to our guests.

Washing machine, iron ironing board and airers are available for your use in the separate utility/depot.

Local English speaking representative is available if required to give advice on local amenities and can arrange tours vehicle hire etc. Add a touch of opulence with a pool side Turkish massage, hire a Chef for a special BBQ or have your romantic meal delivered to the villa. Choose fabulous Turkish cuisine from one of the top restaurants in Dalyan, or how about a romantic moonlight cruise on the lake. With BBQ, lake swimming and finally a dip in the famous hot springs.
