Location: Villa Orkide is located in the beautiful village of Dalyan in the conservation area of the Turquoise Coast of Turkey, nestled between Koycegiz Lake and Dalyan beach ‘Iztuzu’ voted one of the worlds top ten ‘must visit’ beaches and is the nesting place of ‘caretta caretta’ the endangered loggerhead turtles. Dalyan retains much of its original charm and has a village community feel, recently designated a special tourism area with no high rise hotels, golf courses are planned and there is one within 20 minutes which is due to be completed in 2007. Villa Orkide is in a select semi rural position to the south of the town centre and is within a 400 yards of the main street. The neighbouring Turkish houses, cotton fields, stunning view of mountains and ancient rock tombs of the historic ruined city of Caunos ‘Kaunos’, offer visitors to this villa a holiday of visual enchantment. Only 20 minutes transfer from Dalaman airport, for which we can arrange transfers free of charge for a limited period.

The property. Newly finished for 2007 it sleeps up to 6 adults. This is our second luxury Turkish style villa with private pool only 300 yards from Villa Zeytin Koru and is set in a walled garden with trees to the front and side offering some privacy to our guests. Although smaller this villa has been designed for every comfort for use all year round, ideal for those romantic short breaks, luxury self catering family holidays and for those extended stays in retirement, or for those extra guests accompanying those staying at Zeytin Koru. The 46 square metre pool and jacuzzi enjoy sunshine all day.

The accommodation comprises of 2 double bedrooms, with a luxury modern house bathroom and ground floor shower room, a luxurious double sofa bed in the main reception room and infant cot if required to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The villa is air conditioned and central heated throughout and all windows are double glazed with mosquito blinds. Although a car is not necessary there is a parking to the front of the property for 2 cars. The garden is fully maintained, lawned with flowering shrubs and trees.

This is to be our home from home in retirement so all those extras we would need have been thought of in the design, quality and style of the fixtures and furnishings to make this a very special villa.

Outside: The large private pool and Jacuzzi/ paddling pool has extensive paved surround in cool classic marble, which together with gardens and house balconies, offer varied sunbathing areas. Furnished with padded sun loungers . As the sun goes down the underwater lights illuminating the pool area against the backdrop of mountain scenery and the romantically lit Lycian Tombs, create a beautiful setting for a quiet relaxing evening. There is a feature stone built BBQ and poolside shower.
The large shaded veranda complete with tables and chairs are perfect for dining alfresco, incorporates an attractive covered Kosk with traditional Turkish cushions provides perfect shaded seating for outdoor barbeques.

Layout: The generously proportioned ground floor accommodation has double door opening from the pool into a large open plan lounge, dining kitchen with feature stone open fire and traditional cushioned seating area in addition to the stylish 3 piece suite. The ground floor is fully furnished with table and seating in the lounge and dining areas for a maximum of 6 people. There is double sofa bed with extra clothes storage on the landing. A fully tiled shower room and WC is located off the hallway. The kitchen has extensive high quality units with granite surfaces. Windows are south and west facing which are not overlooked but give fabulous views of the mountains and rock tombs.

The floors to all reception and bedrooms are laid with cool classic pink marble tiles. On the first floor the master bedroom has a king size four poster bed with drapes and mosquito net and double doors leading onto the large balcony, which is ideal for sun bathing, evening drinks or simply to gaze at the flood lit tombs. The house bathroom is fully tiled with extractor fan and fitted with luxury standard fittings. The second bedroom is large and has a double bed. Both bedrooms have extensive shaker style wardrobes and furniture with both air conditioning and central heating. A cot is also available.

Equipment & appliances. Air conditioning and central heating throughout, working open fire, constant hot water from electric boiler.

The kitchen dining room is fully fitted with large fridge freezer, double oven & hob, dishwasher. There are microwave, kettle, toaster etc and all crockery and utensils ample for up to 6 adults.
Washing machine, iron ironing board and airers are available for your use in the separate utility/depot. Hair dryers are provided

For your own entertainment the lounge is equipped with a music system, satellite TV & DVD, books and board games.
A ‘Welcome Pack’ is provided to our guests.

Outdoors, patio furniture comprising of various table and chairs, poolside loungers with padded cushions and parasols. Traditional shaded Turkish kosk seating area with large floor cushions. There is an attractive stone built barbeque with adjacent outside shower for pre pool use.

Services: Maid service will be provided once per week, bed linen and towels for bathroom use are provided and changed weekly. Additional maid and laundry service can be provided if required at an extra charge. Airers will be made available.

Local English speaking representative is available if required to give advice on local amenities and can arrange tours vehicle hire etc. Add a touch of opulence with a pool side Turkish massage, hire a Chef for a special BBQ or have your romantic meal delivered to the villa. Choose fabulous Turkish cuisine from one of the top restaurants in Dalyan, or how about a romantic moonlight cruise on the lake. With BBQ, lake swimming and finally a dip in the famous hot springs.
